General Information

Itinerary

On this tour you can enjoy a beautiful walk in the heart of the Perito Moreno Glacier: spectacular experience !!
The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most beautiful and emblematic landscapes of Patagonia.
Enjoy it to see it of all and more intense forms !!

Script

This unforgettable experience begins at the "Bajo de las sombras" Port, where we embark on a 15-minute navigation to cross the Rico Arm. We arrived very close to the Glacier and at that moment we have the fantastic perception of how big it is.
The mountain guides will take you even closer to the glacier to pick up the crampons and start the approach crossing.
Already on the glacier and with the crampons placed, the world takes a new perspective: blue lagoons, deep cracks, huge summers, magical potholes, and the unique sensation of being in the center of the glacier.
During the 3:30 walk the guides explain about the flora and fauna and about general glaciologies of the region, explaining about the specific phenomenon of ruptures of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
We sat on the glacier to rest and eat a snack. Fantastic experience to be there, sitting on the glacier surrounded by mountains. A unique feeling of being in the middle of the glacier !!
With the energies we continue walking until we return to the starting point, where we remove the crampons and trekking down the mountain to the port.
We returned the boat satisfied and with this new adventure to tell.
We then passed the catwalks to observe the Perito Moreno Glacier from the front. We see the beautiful blue tone of this immense glacier and take the opportunity to photograph it with a more open angle of view, watching as it rises from the lake to the top of the mountains, to return to "civilization", after having enjoyed one of the most spectacular trekking on ice in the world.
